- Since 1991, there have been 26 exonerations in Louisiana.
- Since its inception, IPNO has achieved the release of 15 wrongfully convicted prisoners from Louisiana and Mississippi (including nine exonerations). Nine of the 15 cases had no DNA evidence.
- All except one of IPNO's exonerated clients were sentenced to life without parole.
- Three of our clients were under 18 when they were arrested.
- In total, IPNO's clients have served 261 years in prisons for crimes they did not commit. On average, they were wrongly imprisoned for 17.5 years.
